High Risk Work Permits

High-risk work, controlled to the minute.

Digital permits across the eight Australian high-risk-work categories — each paired 1:1 with a Safe Work Method Statement, enforced by time-boxed validity and permit-gated key access, issued at the gate or before arrival, and auto-expired so nothing stays open.

Apply ahead or at the gate

Submit before arrival, or at check-in.

Contractors complete the permit through an interactive application wizard — either ahead of time before they arrive, or during check-in at the gate. Requests can be sent in advance, on their own or bundled automatically with the work order, so the FM can review and approve before anyone sets foot on site.

SWMS, built in

Compliant SWMS attached to every work permit.

Every permit is paired 1:1 with a Safe Work Method Statement. A guided wizard walks the contractor through it section by section — activity, hazards, controls via the hierarchy of controls, and sign-off — and produces a clean, downloadable PDF. Contractors can reuse their company's pre-approved SWMS to skip re-drafting.

  • Six-section SWMS, required 1:1
  • Guided, step-by-step wizard
  • Hierarchy of controls built in
  • Downloadable PDF output

Linked & auditable

One linked record, approved and audit-ready.

Once the FM approves, the permit and its SWMS are fused into a single connected record — viewable in the app and downloadable as an audit-ready PDF. Every approval, validity window and sign-off is captured, so you've always got the evidence on hand.

  • SWMS + permit linked as one record
  • FM approval captured
  • Audit-ready PDF download
  • Full validity & sign-off trail

Gated access

No approved permit, no access.

A permit isn't paperwork you file — it gates the work. Check-in and key release can be blocked until the permit is approved, and permits link to work orders as a conditional requirement for key access. High-risk work simply can't start without the approved permit behind it.

  • Check-in blocked pending approval
  • Keys gated to the approved permit
  • Linked to work orders as a condition
  • Work can't start without it
No approved permit, no access.

Permit-to-work, properly enforced.

Eight HRCW permit types
Working at Heights, Roof Access, Confined Space, Excavation, Hot Work, Electrical Isolation/LOTO, Asbestos and Traffic Management — each anchored to WHS Reg 291 and its AS standard.
Coupled 6-section SWMS
A Safe Work Method Statement required 1:1 with every permit; approval or rejection cascades to both as one package.
Time-boxed validity
Validity windows enforced per activity — a tight 4 hours for Hot Work, 8–12 for others — calculated from approval and auto-enforced.
Permit-gated key access
Keys can be restricted to a permit activity — the fall-arrest kit only releases to someone with an approved Working-at-Heights permit.
Check-in safety net
A 'doing high-risk works?' self-declaration at check-in routes anyone who slipped through into the activity checklist and SWMS before they start.
Auto-expiry
A daily sweep closes approved permits and rejects un-actioned ones once their window passes — so stale permits never linger.
